Because typing fast with uncorrected errors builds the wrong habit. Miss the same character twice in a row and input locks until you press Backspace — a deliberate pause that forces you to look at what went wrong instead of racing on. It's frustrating at first and it's the single feature most responsible for accuracy gains. You can switch it off in your settings if you'd rather practise without it.

Gross WPM counts everything you typed correctly, divided by time, using the standard five-characters-per-word convention. Net WPM subtracts your mistakes from that figure. The interface works on smaller screens, but typing practice on a touchscreen keyboard doesn't transfer well to an exam you'll sit at a physical keyboard. Use a laptop or desktop for actual practice. The virtual keyboard display is hidden automatically on Hindi levels and can be turned off entirely in your settings.

Yes. The Custom Text page lets you paste any passage — a previous year's exam paper, an office letter, your own notes — and practise on it with the same engine, stats and mistake tracking. Those sessions are recorded separately from the level curriculum.
