Hindi typing test on Remington GAIL
Most Hindi government typing exams use the Remington GAIL (Kruti Dev) layout, not the InScript keyboard that most typing apps assume. TypingSarthi maps Remington GAIL directly in your browser, so you practise on the same keys you'll use in the exam — no font or keyboard software to install.
Frequently asked questions
Is the typing test free?+−
Yes. The test is free and you can start without creating an account. Your results are kept on a guest account — add an email later if you want to keep them across devices.
Can I take the test in Hindi?+−
Yes. Hindi tests support Remington GAIL (Kruti Dev), which most Hindi government typing exams use, and InScript. Remington GAIL works directly in the browser with no extra software.
What is the difference between gross and net WPM?+−
Gross WPM counts everything you typed. Net WPM subtracts your errors, which is closer to how most exams judge speed. The result screen shows both, along with accuracy.
Is this the same as the real exam?+−
It is built to feel close — including an exam mode with Backspace disabled — but exam presets and pass marks are practice estimates, not official figures. Always check your exam's latest notification.
Which exams can I practise for?+−
Presets cover common government and private-sector typing tests, such as SSC data entry tests, CPCT, railway, High Court and state clerk exams, plus data entry and office roles.
