Answers to the questions we get most often.
Hindi characters aren't appearing
Hindi practice uses your operating system's Inscript keyboard layout, the same as the real examinations. Enable the Hindi input method in your OS language settings, then switch to it before starting a Hindi passage.
The two-mistake block is too strict
The block exists to stop speed being built on uncorrected errors, but it can be turned off — along with the virtual keyboard, live stats, text size and theme — in your settings.
Are TypeSarthi certificates officially recognised?
No. They record your performance within this application and are useful as proof of practice and progress, but they are not issued or recognised by any examination board or government authority.
My progress looks wrong or incomplete
Practice sessions are saved to your account when a passage is completed. If you close the page mid-passage the attempt isn't recorded. If completed sessions are still missing, please get in touch.
Still stuck?
Replace this block with a real contact route — a support email address or form — before launch. See also the about page for what TypeSarthi's level targets do and don't represent.
